SCHOLARSHIPS

Most private and parochial schools offer limited financial aid such as full and half tuition grants. In addition, several national and local programs award tuition scholarships:
bulletChildren's Scholarship Fund -- National program providing four-year scholarships to low income families in San Francisco, San Mateo, or Marin County.
bulletFrank H. Buck Scholarship -- Available to applicants from the 9th grade forward. Preference is given to residents of Solano, Napa, Yolo, Sacramento, San Joaquin, and Contra Costa Counties.
bulletIndependent Scholarship Fund -- Need- and merit-based scholarships to students entering grades K-12 in a parochial or independent school within Alameda or Contra Costa County.
bulletSFIS Scholarship -- Offered by San Francisco Independent Scholars to students entering an independent or parochial high school in San Francisco.

bulletThe BASIC Fund -- scholarships available to K - 8 students throughout the Bay Area..
bulletThe Guardsmen Scholarship Fund -- Children entering K - 6 throughout the Bay Area are eligible.
bullet The SMART Program -- Provide a three year scholarship (6th through 8th grade) to motivated students in San Francisco who cannot otherwise afford the opportunities and resources of a private school education.
